HemlockFest is an all-ages, eco-friendly event with 100% of the proceeds aiding efforts to save our hemlock trees by minimizing the impact of the hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA), which is an introduced parasitic insect killing the hemlocks of North Georgia at an alarming rate.
Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is now open, the 12th fall season of operation! Offering hay rides, evening bonfires, kid’s soybean maze, climbing goats and of course the mega maze, Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze is now open weekends in September. The complex will be open daily in October, and weekends in November through the 24th. Ticket prices are the same as 2012 (excluding taxes) - adults are $10 for the corn maze and $5 for the hay ride; maze admission is free for children four and under.
The family-operated, 20-acre complex has been recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society as a Top 20 Event for September 2013. Special events at Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch in 2013 include Foster Family Day Sept 14; Boy Scout Weekend Sept 28-29; Girl Scout Weekend Oct 5-6; and the Haunted Maze every Friday and Saturday in October.
